A Traditional Trade

Enslin & Associates has been helping people and business with there finances for over 20 years, and now, it was time for our agency to seek out the services of a reputable accounting firm. You can guess who we were referred to.

As we discussed our accounting needs, it became clearer to both sides that we were in a particularly beneficial position. While they could help us with our books, we could help them give their business and brand the treatment it deserved. Enslin & Associates brand identity and website was becoming overly outdated and no longer represented the essence of who they were becoming as they grew. It sorely needed some tender love and care.

Professional, Personable, Profitable

Dirk, the lead partner at the firm, had full trust in our agency from the start to deliver something that aligned with his vision and goals, while creating and impact and remaining memorable.

Our task was direct. Rebrand the business from the ground up, and align their website to the new identity, making sure it’s easy to use and interact with along the way.

We needed to keep it classy, with a modern twist. They wanted to remain professional in their feeling, but not overly technical or pretentious. The aim was to still be inviting enough for the average-Joe, but professional and thorough enough for business to feel confident in their work.

From Concept to Complete

We wanted to make sure we captured the essence of their business and that we spoke to their audience the way they intended. We started where we always do. Researching and strategising.

From there, we started sketching, creating a mood-board and StyleFlow to show the client before we go ahead and start implementing the new identity across every touchpoint. The original identity featured a desaturated blue and greys. We wanted to keep the blue, but liven it up, and introduce an additional accent colour to give the brand a more dynamic feel. The accent we went with was a calm shade of green, to tie the brand into the financial sector and compliment the inviting and trusting nature of the blues.

For the fonts, we went with a pairing of a traditional Serif font for titles and headings, and a more modern, cleaner font for paragraph text. This paring allowed us to keep the classic, mature nature of the business while bringing it into the present day.

Once we had the go ahead with the direction (our first draft got a resounding yes!), we went straight into creating usable assets for the brand identity and we started mapping out the design and development of the website.

A Result We’re All Proud Of

All-in-all, the process of creation was fairly smooth and uncomplicated. Understanding their needs as well as those of their clients, meant we hit fewer obstacles along the way. And of course, their trust in our work made a huge difference in the process too.

The business has a new fresh look that appeals to their target audience. Their team has numerous assets and templates that they use internally and externally that are now completely aligned with the new identity. And their new website has been updated and refreshed, and can now properly showcase what Enslin & Associates Chartered Accounts (SA) can do.

In the end, we designed and developed a unique brand and website that Dirk felt embodied the brand and vision he had.
